Observation

Who has a promise of blessing in this passage? What is Jesus’ last statement in all of Scripture?

Application

Am I keeping the words of this prophecy? Do I eagerly say, along with John, “Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!”?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Lord God, I ask that You would help me to obey Your Word. I ask that Your Spirit would empower me to live in the holiness and righteousness that have been given to me in Christ. I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end! I thank You for washing my spiritual robe in His blood so that I can have access to the tree of life and can enter into the Eternal City by the gates. Thank You for giving me the water of life free of charge. My heart’s cry rings with that of Your servant John: Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

Ministries:

  • Provenance
  • Genesis World Mission

CLF:

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for teens and young adults (middle school through college age) in our community

  • For Godly influences and teachers
  • For safety and protection from accidents, abuse, and predators
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For a heart to learn and to know God
  • That they will not be prodigals, but remain true to God all the days of their lives
  • That they would turn to God to fill every need, not to addictive substances and behaviors
  • Respect for parents and other authority

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all. – 1 Corinthians 12:7 (NET)
