Observation

What insight do verses 1-3, 28-36 and 46-50 give us regarding David’s relationship with God?

Application

Do I trust in the Lord to be my rock and my fortress, to be my deliverer, sustainer, refuge, provider, protector and avenger?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, I love You, LORD, my strength. You are my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. you alone are worthy of praise. LORD, You light my lamp and illuminate my darkness. Your way is perfect; Your word is pure. You are a shield to all who take refuge in You. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is a rock? Only You, God. You clothe me with strength and make my way perfect. You make my feet like the feet of a deer and set me securely on the heights. You have given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand upholds me, and Your humility exalts me. You widen a place beneath me for my steps, and my ankles do not give way. The LORD lives–may my Rock be praised! The God of my salvation is exalted. You free me from my enemies. You exalt me above my adversaries; You rescue me from violent men. Therefore I will praise You, LORD, among the nations; I will sing about Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
