Observation

What covers all offenses? What is the result of many words? What prolongs life?

Application

Am I demonstrating God’s love in my life by forgiving all offenses against me? Do I fall into sin as a result of talking too much? Do I fear the Lord and obey Him?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father God, I thank You that because of Your great love, You forgave all of my offenses and all the offenses of everyone who accepts Christ. Let Your love shine through me and empower me to forgive anyone who has ever offended me. Help me to show Your wisdom by controlling my lips, for where there are many words, sin is unavoidable. I ask that I will continually grow in the fear and knowledge of you, that my life might be prolonged. Help me to never be shaken, always confidently trusting in You. I pray this in Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Mike Daniels
  • Theresa Daniels
  • Travis & Hali Davidson (Andrew)
  • Brian & Eileen Davis

Missionaries:

  • Tim & Miranda Penn (Samid, Sarah), missionaries to Albania

CLF:

  • That Christian Life Fellowship would be a church that is devoted to the Word of God, and that we would be doers of it and not just hearers; that we would study the Word and so always be prepared to give everyone an answer–in season and out of season–and be approved workers who do not need to be ashamed, able to accurately understand and explain it.

Community: Pray for the poor & imprisoned

  • Salvation
  • That they will trust in God’s provision
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • That they will have hope
  • For godly mentors in the prison/jail system

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God. – Colossians 3:16 (HCSB)
