Observation

What happened at the Beautiful Gate? What was the key point of Peter’s address?

Application

As a spiritual beggar who has been healed and given eternal life, do I “leap” and praise God? Do I make sure to give God the credit for His work?

Prayer

Dear Father, Thank You for Your renewing power through the blood of Jesus Christ! Though I was spiritually lame and unable to make my way to You, still You healed my spirit through the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary. I praise You for Your glory, power, mercy, and grace! Help me never to take credit for the things You have done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luke)
  • Keith Rast
  • Andrea Rodriguez (Willie, Yulieta)

Ministry:

  • Boise Rescue Mission

CLF:

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for our national leaders

  • God’s anointing on them and a desire in them to follow Him
  • For Jesus to once again be Lord and King over our nation
  • For the president and cabinet to seek after God
  • For judges to rule justly and righteously
  • For senators & representatives to pass godly legislation and block sinful bills
  • That our government would protect its citizens and punish evildoers

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
Then beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted for them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures. – Luke 24:27 (HCSB)
