Observation

What happened to Saul on his way to Damascus? What did Saul do immediately after regaining sight? What happened in Joppa when people heard about the work God was doing through Peter?

Application

Have I had a transforming encounter with Jesus? Do I proclaim that He is the Son of God? Am I living a life that makes me a useful tool for God’s work?

Prayer

Dear Father, Thank You for the saving power of Jesus Christ! Thank You for saving Paul, and thank You for saving me and whoever calls on His name! I proclaim that He is the One and Only Son of God, and the only way to You. I ask that I would follow You and serve You in whatever means You desire, and that You would make me a vessel that displays Your glory, that others would believe in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luke)
  • Keith Rast
  • Andrea Rodriguez (Willie, Yulieta)

Ministry:

  • Boise Rescue Mission

CLF:

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for Caldwell

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through Him. – 1 Corinthians 8:6 (HCSB)
