Acts 25

Observation

What important decision did Paul make (11)? What was the result (12)?

Application

Do I believe God can use even the worst circumstances for His glory and to provide witnessing opportunities that would not have arisen otherwise?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father God, Even though Paul had broken no laws and was completely innocent, he was trapped in the governmental red tape of his day. Yet he used that to his advantage, and was able to be a testimony before many government dignitaries as a result. Help me to view everything with an eternal perspective, and with an eye as to how the situation can best be used to glorify You. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Mike & Jamie Haberkorn (Hannah, Sean)
  • Deborah Halkola
  • David & MaryBeth Hollander (Cole, Marcus)
  • Bob & Peggy Hoover

Ministry:

  • Chrysalis Women’s Transitional Housing

CLF:

  • Pray that we would be a church that is dedicated to the breaking of bread, both in the sense of being devoted to observing the Lord’s Supper, and in meeting together for meals to fellowship, to deepen bonds, to heal offenses, and to end disputes.

Community: Pray for marriages in our community…

  • that Christ-like love would be exhibited
  • for good communication between spouses
  • for unity in finances
  • salvation for non-believing spouses
  • that they would balance work and home life
  • that Godly friends and mentors would come alongside them.

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
Now I implore you, brothers, watch out for those who cause dissensions and pitfalls contrary to the doctrine you have learned. Avoid them; for such people do not serve our Lord Christ. – Romans 16:17-18 (HCSB)
