Scripture

Judges 13

Observation

Why did God do after Israel was under Philistine rule for 40 years? What did The Angel of the Lord do for Manoah and his wife when they made the sacrifice? What was their response?

Application

Do I trust God to fulfill His plan in His timing? Do I thank Him for all the wonderful things He has done?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Dear God, Thank You for being a God who keeps His promises and delivers His people! Thank You for Your wonderful visitation in human form in the person of Jesus Christ, through whom all believers are made acceptable to You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Joe & Sheala Lehosit
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

Ministries:

  • Provenance
  • Genesis World Mission

CLF:

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for teens and young adults (middle school through college age) in our community

  • For Godly influences and teachers
  • For safety and protection from accidents, abuse, and predators
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For a heart to learn and to know God
  • That they will not be prodigals, but remain true to God all the days of their lives
  • That they would turn to God to fill every need, not to addictive substances and behaviors
  • Respect for parents and other authority
