Observation

What does David ask of God? What is his motive for this request (9-10)?

Application

Do I trust in God for my protection and safety? Do I ask Him to work for my own convenience or for His glory?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Dear Father in Heaven, I ask that You would keep me safe and protect and shield me from evildoers. I leave the battle in Your Almighty hands. I ask this, not just so that I will have relief and safety, but so that everyone will fear and will tell about Your work, for they will understand what You have done. May I ever rejoice in You, LORD, and take refuge in You and offer praise. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God–God remains in him and he in God. And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. – 1 John 4:15-16 (HCSB)
