Psalm 70

Observation

What does David ask of God? What should those who seek God do?

Application

Do I go to God FIRST when I am in need? Do I rejoice in Him and praise Him?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Dear Father in Heaven, When I am in need and facing opposition and persecution, may i always seek Your help first, rather than trying to handle things myself. I join with David in praying that all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; let those who love Your salvation continually say, “God is great!” In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. – Ephesians 2:19-20 (HCSB)
