Scripture

Daniel 12

Observation

What was Daniel’s situation regarding the vision of the end times that was given to him (8)? What was he told (9)? What light does that shed on the teachings of those who say they have the dates and times all figured out?

Application

Am I faithful to God even when I don’t understand everything? Am I willing to “go my way” in the Lord, even when I don’t know where that might be? Do I jump on the bandwagons of those who predict specific dates and times, swaying with “winds of doctrine,” or do I just stay faithful to God, trusting Him to work everything out for His purpose in His time?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Lord God, Give me faith and faithfulness like Daniel to trust You and follow You even when I don’t understand. Help me to be more focused on obeying and glorifying You in my daily life than on exactly how and when everything is going to pan out at the end of the world, trusting that You have that under control. On the other hand, may I be alert to the signs of the times as You reveal them, without jumping to conclusion on things You have chosen not to reveal yet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luc)
  • Keith Rast
  • Travis & Consuela Sauer (Mikayla, Christian, Donte, Cheyenne, Sera, Ella, Thomas)

Ministry:

  • Boise Rescue Mission

CLF:

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for Kuna…
