Scripture

Psalm 75

Observation

What does this psalm teach us regarding the sovereignty of God? What should His people do (1, 9)?

Application

Do I trust God to be control of everything? Do I thank Him and praise Him and tell others about Him?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, You alone are God! You will judge fairly in Your good time. You are the One who created and sustains all things, and no one can boast before You. No man can say he has been exalted on his own merits, for You, Lord, are the judge Who exalts one and brings down another, and one day all the wicked will drink the cup of Your wrath and judgment. I give thanks and praise to You and will tell of Your wonderful works forever! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luc)
  • Travis & Consuela Sauer (Mikayla, Christian, Donte, Cheyenne, Sera, Ella, Thomas)

Ministry:

  • Boise Rescue Mission

CLF:

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for Media Industries (TV/Movies, Radio/Music, Print/Internet)

  • Godly themes/influences
  • Christian workers at all levels sensitive to God’s leading
  • Salvation for influential media leaders
  • Courage to share God’s message
  • Financial rewards for wholesome media

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
Each person should do as he has decided in his heart–not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. – 2 Corinthians 9:7 (HCSB)
