Observation

What is the prerequisite on our end to claim the promise that God will work everything out for our good? What can separate us from Christ’s love?

Application

What confidence does this passage give you about your situation right now? How does knowing the Spirit is interceding on your behalf impact your prayer life?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Lord God, I thank You that though I am so weak, Your Spirit helps me and intercedes for me even when I don’t know how to pray. I thank You that You know the mind of the Spirit as He does this, and He always only prays for me in accordance with Your will. And I know that in all things You work for my good–even the things I don’t understand and the things that appear to me to be impossible to bring about any good–because I love You and am called according to Your purpose. You knew beforehand that I would accept Christ and so You predestined me to be conformed to His likeness. You called me, You justified me, and one day You will glorify me. Thank You, Lord! Because You are for me, nothing can stand against me. You didn’t even spare Your own Son, but You gave Him up for me, so I know You will graciously give me every good thing. It doesn’t matter who brings a charge against me, because You have justified me. No one can condemn me, because Christ Jesus died for me, and more than that, He was raised to life, and He is at Your right hand, interceding for me just as the Holy Spirit is. Though I sometimes may feel separated from You, I know that is not truth–it is not real–and I reject it in the Name of Jesus. No matter what I face, whether trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or physical violence, I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future nor my past, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from Your love that is in Christ Jesus my Lord. Thank You, Father! In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Amy & Debbie Brueggemann
  • Chris Carlton
  • Travis & Hali Davidson
  • Mike Daniels
  • Theresa Daniels
  • Brian & Eileen Davis

Missionaries:

  • Tim & Miranda Penn (Samid, Sarah), missionaries to Albania

CLF:

  • That Christian Life Fellowship would be a church that is devoted to the Word of God, and that we would be doers of it and not just hearers; that we would study the Word and so always be prepared to give everyone an answer–in season and out of season–and be approved workers who do not need to be ashamed, able to accurately understand and explain it.

Community: Pray for Nampa

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials
