What made Abraham righteous before God?

How can I know I am right before God? What should or can I add to faith to gain a better standing with Him?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Father in Heaven, It amazes and overwhelms me that without any work or deeds on my part–by simply trusting You and believing in Your One and Only Unique Son–I am justified and my faith is credited to me as righteousness. I thank You that where before You saw sin and a soul that deserved the judgment of eternal torment before faith in Christ, now when looking at me You see only the blood of Christ applied to my account and it is just as if I had never committed a sin at all. Thank You, LORD! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Scott & Kristi Guinn
  • Mike & Jamie Haberkorn (Hannah, Sean)
  • Patrick Hall
  • David & MaryBeth Hollander (Cole, Marcus)
  • Bob & Peggy Hoover

  • Chrysalis Women’s Transitional Housing

  • Pray that we would be a church that is dedicated to the breaking of bread, both in the sense of being devoted to observing the Lord’s Supper, and in meeting together for meals to fellowship, to deepen bonds, to heal offenses, and to end disputes.

Community: Pray for marriages in our community…

  • that Christ-like love would be exhibited
  • for good communication between spouses
  • for unity in finances
  • salvation for non-believing spouses
  • that they would balance work and home life
  • that Godly friends and mentors would come alongside them.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus – Romans 8:1
