1 Corinthians 15:35-58

What is the stumbling block issue for many concerning the resurrection (verse 35)? What is the point of the comparison between Adam and Jesus?

How do verses 50-55 comfort me? How can remembering and believing in the resurrection help me to “stand firm” and “let nothing move me”?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, I praise You for the glory that awaits all who believe in Christ! Thank You so much for the promise of the resurrection! Though this body is perishable, I believe Your promise that I will be given an imperishable body. Though sin has caused my current body to be dishonorable, You will raise it in glory; though it is weak, You will raise it in power–this natural body will become a spiritual body that will live in sinlessness for eternity! Hallelujah! Thank You that, though through Adam I have a natural body that decays and dies due to sin, in Christ I shall have a spiritual body that will bear His likeness and inherit Your kingdom. So with great eager anticipation I look forward to the day when all who are in Christ will be changed–in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, when death is swallowed up in victory. Thank You, God! You give the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Therefore, may I ever stand firm, letting nothing move me. May I always give myself fully to Your work, because I know that my labor for You is not in vain. Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Amy & Debbie Brueggemann
  • Chris Carlton
  • Travis & Hali Davidson
  • Mike Daniels
  • Theresa Daniels
  • Brian & Eileen Davis

  • Tim & Miranda Penn (Samid, Sarah), missionaries to Albania

  • That Christian Life Fellowship would be a church that is devoted to the Word of God, and that we would be doers of it and not just hearers; that we would study the Word and so always be prepared to give everyone an answer–in season and out of season–and be approved workers who do not need to be ashamed, able to accurately understand and explain it.

Community: Pray for Kuna…

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. – Matthew 7:7
