Luke 13

Who will make it through the narrow door and who will not? If God is love, why won’t everyone make it through?

Am I inside or outside the door? How can I be sure I’m inside it?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You that You save all those who repent and turn to Jesus. Thank You for caring more about freeing us from sin and bondage than about Your own laws. I pray that I will be a spiritual mustard seed that grows and flourishes, and spiritual yeast that affects everyone with whom I come in contact. Thank You for inviting me through the door, Jesus Christ, and saving me. I pray for Israel and Jerusalem: I ask that Israelis’ eyes would be open to the fact that Jesus is the promised Messiah and that they would come to Him en masse, and I pray for peace for Israel. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

  • Provenance
  • Genesis World Mission

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for Mountain Home…

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials
  • For the air base: safety for military and their families (especially those who are deployed), sound military strategies by commanders, impact for Christ in areas where deployed

Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come to his people and redeemed them. – Luke 1:68
