Observation
What is the response of the ungodly to God’s judgment?
Application
Am I obedient to God and repentant of my sin?
Prayer
Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Heavenly Father, As I read of Your terrible judgment of plagues on the earth during its last days, my first reaction is amazement that people do not respond with repentance and worship. But then I am convicted by Your Spirit about my own life, and how I often don’t truly repent of my sinful habits. May You never have to work harshly in my life to bring me to repentance and a right relationship with You! Rather, grant that I would humble myself before You and submit to Your will and direction in my life. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen.
Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:
- B – BODY (physical health)
- L – Labor (their job or school)
- E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
- S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
- S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)
Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:
- Amy & Debbie Brueggemann
- Chris Carlton
- Travis & Hali Davidson
- Mike Daniels
- Theresa Daniels
- Brian & Eileen Davis
Missionaries:
- Tim & Miranda Penn (Samid, Sarah), missionaries to Albania
CLF:
- That Christian Life Fellowship would be a church that is devoted to the Word of God, and that we would be doers of it and not just hearers; that we would study the Word and so always be prepared to give everyone an answer–in season and out of season–and be approved workers who do not need to be ashamed, able to accurately understand and explain it.
Community: Pray for our state leaders…
- Governor & his advisers
- Judges
- state senators and representatives
- that they would all be faithful in carrying out their duties justly
- that they would submit themselves to God
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone. – Colossians 4:6 (NET)
