Revelation 13

What is the problem with appointing and following a leader based on his personal charisma and eloquence?

Am I careful to test the spirits of leaders and teachers to be sure that I am not deceived by treachery under the guise of concern and compassion?

Dear God, Thank You that though the Antichrist will be an amazingly powerful and falsely inspiring leader, You are infinitely more powerful and the source of all true inspiration. I thank You that in Christ I have nothing to fear from the Antichrist, the world, or the forces of darkness. I ask that You would bless me with wisdom and insight to discern all false teaching and to remain true to You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luke)
  • Keith Rast
  • David Reynolds
  • Andrea Rodriguez (Willie, Yulieta)

  • Boise Rescue Mission

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for Kuna…

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone. – Colossians 4:6 (NET)
