Revelation 22:1-6

How do we know we can believe the description of eternity for the saved in this passage (verse 6)?

Do I truly believe that my eternal destiny with God is secure, and that the testimony of His Word regarding it is “reliable and true”?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father in Heaven, I eagerly anticipate the day when, because I am in Christ, I shall see the river of the water of life – water as clear as crystal – pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb, flowing down the middle of the Eternal City’s main street. I can’t wait to see, on each side of the river, the tree of life producing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month of the year, and its leaves that are for the healing of the nations. How awesome to know that there will no longer be any curse, and Your throne, oh God, and the Lamb will be in the city. I look forward with great joy to being able to worship You face to face, having Your name on my forehead. I praise You that night will be no more, and we will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because You, Lord God, will shine on us, and we will reign with You forever and ever. I believe the testimony Your angel gave to John: “These words are reliable and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must happen soon.” Amen!

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Scott & Kristi Guinn
  • Mike & Jamie Haberkorn (Hannah, Sean)
  • Patrick Hall
  • David & MaryBeth Hollander (Cole, Marcus)
  • Bob & Peggy Hoover

  • Chrysalis Women’s Transitional Housing

  • Pray that we would be a church that is dedicated to the breaking of bread, both in the sense of being devoted to observing the Lord’s Supper, and in meeting together for meals to fellowship, to deepen bonds, to heal offenses, and to end disputes.

Community: Pray for young children in our community

  • For Godly influences
  • For safety and protection from accidents, abuse, and predators
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For a heart to learn and to know God from a young age
  • That they will not be prodigals, but remain true to God all the days of their lives

To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all. – 1 Corinthians 12:7 (NET)
