Matthew 21

Observation

How did Jesus respond to the Pharisees regarding the children proclaiming Him as Messiah? What did He teach about faith? To whom will the kingdom of God be given?

Application

Do I joyously and unashamedly proclaim Jesus as Lord, God, and Savior of the world? Do I exercise my faith for His kingdom’s sake? Am I bearing fruit as His follower?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Jesus, From the depths of my heart and without apology I proclaim that You and You alone are the Messiah, the Son of God who takes away the sin of the world. I ask that You would grant me the faith to do whatever it is You would have me do, and that I would walk in that faith, bearing much fruit for You and advancing Your will. Thank You for being patient with me and loving me. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luke)
  • Keith Rast
  • Andrea Rodriguez (Willie, Yulieta)
