What important promises does Jesus make in 11:22-25? What is the point of the Parable of the Tenants?

Do I have faith that God hears my prayer and Jesus keeps His promises? Am I the kind of “tenant” who mistreats the Son of God and His messengers?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Jesus, I ask that You would increase my faith in God, so that, if necessary, I could move mountains. Help me not to doubt but to believe in my heart that when I ask anything in Your will, You will do it. Help me never to be like the tenants in Your parable, who rejected and mistreated every messenger of the Landlord including His own Son. rather, give me a heart that receives, believes, and responds in obedience to the Father’s wishes.  In Your name I pray, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luke)
  • Keith Rast
  • Andrea Rodriguez (Willie, Yulieta)

  • Boise Rescue Mission

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for Nampa

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials

So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you. – James 4:7
