What does Paul tell Timothy to focus on? How was he to treat other believers of different ages and gender?

Am I an example to others in speech, conduct, love, faithfulness and purity? Do I treat other believers as the family of God?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Lord Jesus, Help me to set an example for the believers in my speech, conduct, love, faithfulness and purity. May I give attention to Scripture, exhortation and teaching those younger in You. Help me not to neglect the gifts You’ve given me, but to use them for Your glory, being conscientious about how I live and what I say. help me to treat Your people kindly, treating older men as fathers, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers and younger women as sisters, walking in complete purity with all of them. Help me to honor widows who are truly in need as You have enabled me. I ask this in Your Name, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

  • Provenance
  • Genesis World Mission

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for Mountain Home…

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials
  • For the air base: safety for military and their families (especially those who are deployed), sound military strategies by commanders, impact for Christ in areas where deployed

No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. – Luke 16:13 (NET)
