Observation

To what does the promise of verse 21 point?

Application

Am I living in eager anticipation of Christ returning and ruling God’s kingdom from Mount Zion?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Lord Jesus, Thank You that though the enemies of Israel and of Your followers are many and seem to be winning the war, You have already won it! One day You will ascend Mount Zion and rule Your kingdom! Whenever I start to become discouraged with the affairs of this world, remind me of this, Lord! I ask this in Your Name, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

Ministries:

  • Provenance
  • Genesis World Mission

CLF:

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for orphans and children in foster care…

  • that they would come to know the adoptive Father-heart of God
  • that they would be positively influenced by Christian workers
  • that God would bring Christian friends alongside them
  • that they would come to salvation
  • that they would be adopted by godly parents

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
From that time Jesus began to preach this message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” – Matthew 4:17 (NET)
