Hosea 12

What must we do to restore broken fellowship with God (verse 6)?

Do I focus on God in my day-to-day life? Do I maintain love and justice? Do I always put my hope in God?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Father God, Even though You have redeemed me by the blood of Christ, I still sin so often. Sometimes I choose to harbor and justify that sin rather than repent, compounding sin upon sin. Instead, may I return to You, God. May I maintain love and justice, and always put my hope in You. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

  • Provenance
  • Genesis World Mission

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for the elderly…

  • That they will be treated respectfully
  • That they will not dwell on mistakes and regret
  • That God will provide for their health and finances
  • That God will protect them from those who would try to harm them
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • Any broken family relationships restored before they pass on

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. – Romans 10:17 (ESV)
