Hosea 3-4

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

What did Hosea have to do in chapter 3? What does God say is missing in Israel (4:1)?

Do I love like God loves, forgiving and seeking others? Is faithfulness, love, and acknowledging God missing in my life and home?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You that You bought back Your people from the slavery of sin, even though we had prostituted ourselves to other gods. Help me to show that love to the people You have put in my life. Help me to forgive them as You have forgiven me, and help me to remain faithful to them as you have always been faithful to me. May faithfulness, love, and the acknowledgment and worship of You, Lord, be in abundance in my life and home. I ask these things in te name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Mike & Jamie Haberkorn (Hannah, Sean)
  • David & MaryBeth Hollander (Cole, Marcus)
  • Bob & Peggy Hoover

  • Chrysalis Women’s Transitional Housing

  • Pray that we would be a church that is dedicated to the breaking of bread, both in the sense of being devoted to observing the Lord’s Supper, and in meeting together for meals to fellowship, to deepen bonds, to heal offenses, and to end disputes.

Community: Pray for the salvation of the lost

  • Readiness to repent
  • Hearts prepared to hear God’s voice
  • A Deep dissatisfaction and unrest with life without Him
  • Godly influences

He has given us the privilege, since we have been rescued from our enemies’ clutches, to serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness in His presence all our days. – Luke 1:73b-75 (ISV)
