Observation

What promise does God make in the midst of His declaration of judgment (verse 10)?

Application

Do I need to repent of habits and rebellion in my life that dishonors God?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Dear Father, Forgive me for being so quick to turn away from You and so slow to repent and turn back to You. Too many times my worship is merely going through the motions while my heart is far from You. I thank You that you are a God who longs to gather up Your people and heal and restore them. Help me not to get in Your way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

SATURDAY

  • Danielle Youngblood (Kayla, Kendra)
  • Janeth & Moy
  • Brook & Erica Butts (Brooklyn, Boston)

Community: Pray for the relationship between generations–parents, children, grandparents

  • That the true Christian faith of older generation would be clearly communicated and passed down to children
  • That saved children in unsaved families would clearly exhibit and communicate the faith to their parents and grandparents
  • A harvest of souls of all ages
  • Good, nurturing relationships

  • That we will be devoted to evangelism and growth; that the Lord will add to our numbers those who are being saved.

Community: Pray for orphans and children in foster care…

  • that they would come to know the adoptive Father-heart of God
  • that they would be positively influenced by Christian workers
  • that God would bring Christian friends alongside them
  • that they would come to salvation
  • that they would be adopted by godly parents

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
He has given us the privilege, since we have been rescued from our enemies’ clutches, to serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness in His presence all our days. – Luke 1:73b-75 (ISV)
