Galatians 2

Why is it so important not to yield to false doctrine even for an hour (verse 5)? How is one justified before God?

Do I allow false doctrine to creep into my thinking? On what am I trusting to make me justified before God?

Dear Lord, I ask that You would keep me from submitting to any false doctrine for even an hour, so that the truth of the gospel would remain for those who need to hear it. Keep me from ever trying to earn my salvation by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified. For I have believed in Christ Jesus, so that I might be justified by faith in Christ. Remind me that I have been crucified with Christ; and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside Your grace, God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luke)
  • Keith Rast
  • Andrea Rodriguez (Willie, Yulieta)

  • Boise Rescue Mission

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for our state leaders…

  • Governor & his advisers
  • Judges
  • state senators and representatives
  • that they would all be faithful in carrying out their duties justly
  • that they would submit themselves to God

so also the Messiah, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. – Hebrews 9:28 (HCSB)
