Exodus 10-11

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

Why did God perform the miracles of the plagues in Egypt (10:2)? What did God promise Moses regarding the Israelites (11:7)?

Do I acknowledge God for His mighty deeds and tell others about them? Do I thank God for protecting and providing for His people?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Dear Father in Heaven, You are mighty to save! You performed many mighty miracles among the Egyptians to show that You are Yahweh, the LORD of hosts. Remind me to share with others the mighty works You’ve performed, both throughout history and in my own life. Thank You for delivering Your people from Egypt, and thank You for delivering all who trust in Christ from their sin, protecting us from the powers of evil and providing us with everything we need for all eternity! I pray these things in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Mike & Jamie Haberkorn (Hannah, Sean)
  • David & MaryBeth Hollander (Cole, Marcus)
  • Bob & Peggy Hoover

  • Chrysalis Women’s Transitional Housing

  • Pray that we would be a church that is dedicated to the breaking of bread, both in the sense of being devoted to observing the Lord’s Supper, and in meeting together for meals to fellowship, to deepen bonds, to heal offenses, and to end disputes.

Community: Pray for business professionals providing goods and services

  • God to be glorified by excellent work
  • Ministry to occur in the workplace
  • Godly employers and employees
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • Sound financial strategies
  • Strong, God-honoring relationships

Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. – Hebrews 11:1 (HCSB)
