Exodus 12

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

What did the Israelites have to do to be sure the Lord would pass over them when carrying out His judgment of death on the firstborn? What did this requirement signify regarding the future?

Do I trust wholly and exclusively in the blood of the Lamb for God’s wrath and final judgment to pass me by?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Father God, In the first Passover, it was the blood of the lamb on the doorposts that kept death from Your people. I thank you, Lord for the blood of THE Lamb–the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world–Jesus Christ! I thank You that by that one offering He took death and the wrath of God away from all who receive Him for eternity! I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

  • Provenance
  • Genesis World Mission

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for Outreach Ministries

  • God’s creative provision
  • For sound financial management and strategies
  • Salvation and spiritual growth for those to whom they minister
  • God’s anointing and leading for projects and programs
  • Volunteers and workers

Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. – Hebrews 11:1 (HCSB)
