Scripture

Exodus 26-27

Observation

Why was God so careful to be so precise about the construction plans for the tabernacle and altar?

Application

Do I worship God according to His instruction or according to my preferences?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Father God, Thank You for revealing yourself to Your people. I praise You as the only true God, forever worthy of all worship. Forgive me for treating worship flippantly or as something to make me feel good. Far too often my focus in worship is on me rather than You, which is not really worship at all. Bring me back to the heart of worship: humbling myself before you and giving You all glory, honor, and praise! I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

Ministries:

  • Provenance
  • Genesis World Mission

CLF:

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for your neighbors…

  • That God would provide opportunities for you to minister to them
  • That unbelievers would receive Christ as Savior and Lord
  • For their marriages / family relationships
  • For their finances / employment
  • Any specific needs of which you’re aware

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
Instead, just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please men, but rather God, who examines our hearts. – 1 Thessalonians 2:4 (HCSB)
