What attributes of God do we learn of in this chapter (6-7, 10, 14)?

Do I thank and praise God for who He is and what He does? Do I trust in Him to keep His covenant and forgive my sin? Do I reverence Him to the exclusion of all others?

Almighty Yahweh, Thank You that You are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth, maintaining faithful love to a thousand generations, forgiving wrongdoing, rebellion, and sin. Thank You that You make and keep Your covenant. You perform wonders in the presence of all your people that have never been done in all the earth or in any nation. All Your people will see the LORD’s work, for what You do with them is awe-inspiring. May I never bow down to another god because You, LORD, being jealous by nature, are a jealous God. May I ever worship You and You alone! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luke)
  • Keith Rast
  • Andrea Rodriguez (Willie, Yulieta)

  • Boise Rescue Mission

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for Kuna…

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials

Finally then, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received from us how you must walk and please God—as you are doing—do so even more. – 1 Thessalonians 4:1 (HCSB)
