What is the meaning of the Parable of the Vineyard? What did Jesus teach about paying taxes?

Have I accepted or rejected the Cornerstone? Do I “give back to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s”?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father God, Thank You for sending Your beloved Son, even after all Your servants were ignored and killed. Thank You for His death that paid the price for the sins of all who receive him, and thank You for giving people from every nation an opportunity to have a portion of Your vineyard. May I live in a way that honors You, giving to earthly kingdoms what belongs to them, and to You what belongs to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Mike & Jamie Haberkorn (Hannah, Sean)
  • David & MaryBeth Hollander (Cole, Marcus)
  • Bob & Peggy Hoover

  • Chrysalis Women’s Transitional Housing

  • Pray that we would be a church that is dedicated to the breaking of bread, both in the sense of being devoted to observing the Lord’s Supper, and in meeting together for meals to fellowship, to deepen bonds, to heal offenses, and to end disputes.

Community: Pray for Public Service Professionals (Firefighters, law enforcement, and medical personnel)…

  • Strength to serve well
  • Safety/health
  • Salvation for lost & ministry opportunities for saved
  • Strong family/marriage relationships
  • Strong, God-honoring friendships

In fact, all those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. – 2 Timothy 3:12 (HCSB)
