How did Jesus answer those who questioned Him?

Do I ask questions simply to try to prove or disprove a point or to start an argument, or do I genuinely seek to know God’s truth?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Dear God my Father, Keep me from a heart like the religious leaders in today’s passage, who practice religion simply as a means of prestige and power. Instead, I ask for a heart that desires to truly know you and Your truth! I ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

  • Provenance
  • Genesis World Mission

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for Outreach Ministries

  • God’s creative provision
  • For sound financial management and strategies
  • Salvation and spiritual growth for those to whom they minister
  • God’s anointing and leading for projects and programs
  • Volunteers and workers

In fact, all those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. – 2 Timothy 3:12 (HCSB)
