Observation
What string of sinful decisions happen in this chapter? How does Judah reveal his hypocrisy (24)? How does he respond when he realizes it (26)?
Application
Do I get angry with others for the very things that I do? Do I remember that God has forgiven me and calls me to forgive others?
Prayer
Dear Father, keep me from a heart that judges others for the very sins I have committed. Help me to forgive others as You have forgiven me. Keep me from making sinful decisions, and especially from those that could cause a chain reaction in my family. Keep me on the path to which You’ve called me, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:
- B – BODY (physical health)
- L – Labor (their job or school)
- E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
- S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
- S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)
Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.
- Moy & Janeth Ortiz
- Doug & Pam Patchin
- Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luke)
- Keith Rast
- Andrea Rodriguez (Willie, Yulieta)
