Observation
What was the reunion like between Joseph and his brothers?
Application
Do I harbor bitterness and unforgiveness in my heart? How would I have acted if I were in Joseph’s position?
Prayer
Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear God, Help me not to hold grudges or seek revenge. Give me a heart that forgives, even as I have been forgiven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:
- B – BODY (physical health)
- L – Labor (their job or school)
- E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
- S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
- S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)
Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:
- Pat & Hannah Kelley
- Joe & Sheala Lehosit
- Fred & Shirley Leonard
- Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
- Michael Morgan
Ministries:
- Provenance
- Genesis World Mission
CLF:
- That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.
Community: Pray for County leaders…
- Assessor, Coroner, Treasurer, Clerks, Judges, Prosecutors, Defenders, Sheriffs
- that they would make sound financial decisions
- that they would all be faithful in carrying out their duties justly
- that they would submit themselves to God
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
He doesn’t need to offer sacrifices every day, as high priests do–first for their own sins, then for those of the people. He did this once for all when He offered Himself. – Hebrews 7:27 (HCSB)
