Observation
What did Ezra do upon hearing a report of Israel’s disobedience to God?
Application
Do I confess and repent and seek God when I fall into sin?
Prayer
Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father God, I pray that I will not disobey You. But if I do, may I come to You in humility and contrition, seeking to be restored to full fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen
Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:
- B – BODY (physical health)
- L – Labor (their job or school)
- E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
- S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
- S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)
Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:
- Mike & Jamie Haberkorn (Hannah, Sean)
- Deborah Halkola
- David & MaryBeth Hollander (Cole, Marcus)
- Bob & Peggy Hoover
Ministry:
- Chrysalis Women’s Transitional Housing
CLF:
- Pray that we would be a church that is dedicated to the breaking of bread, both in the sense of being devoted to observing the Lord’s Supper, and in meeting together for meals to fellowship, to deepen bonds, to heal offenses, and to end disputes.
Community: Pray for your neighbors…
- That God would provide opportunities for you to minister to them
- That unbelievers would receive Christ as Savior and Lord
- For their marriages / family relationships
- For their finances / employment
- Any specific needs of which you’re aware
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh. On the contrary, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart–by the Spirit, not the letter. His praise is not from men but from God. – Romans 2:28-29 (HCSB)
