Romans 3

What percentage of humans throughout history have sinned? To what result? How are people justified with God?

Do I understand that apart from Christ there I have absolutely no power to be right with God, and there is nothing I can do about it? Do I rest in God’s grace through saving faith to justify me before God?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father God, Thank You so much that though I could never keep Your law or measure up to Your glory, and that though I was filled with sin and did not seek after You, You sent Jesus to seek and save me! Thank You that now, apart from the law, Your righteousness has been revealed–that is, Your righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe, since there is no distinction. Thank You that I am justified freely by Your grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, who was the substitutionary atoning sacrifice that turned away Your wrath! In the name of Jesus, Amen

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Mike & Jamie Haberkorn (Hannah, Sean)
  • Deborah Halkola
  • David & MaryBeth Hollander (Cole, Marcus)
  • Bob & Peggy Hoover

  • Chrysalis Women’s Transitional Housing

  • Pray that we would be a church that is dedicated to the breaking of bread, both in the sense of being devoted to observing the Lord’s Supper, and in meeting together for meals to fellowship, to deepen bonds, to heal offenses, and to end disputes.

Community: Pray for Unity in the Body of Christ…

  • that we would be united in our love for Jesus and each other
  • that we would encourage and support each other
  • that we would focus on Biblical principles in every arena of our lives
  • that we would have a spirit of cooperation in outreach
  • that Satan’s divisive strategies would be confounded

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. – Proverbs 14:12 (HCSB)
