How do we know God hears and answers prayer? How should we act when we see a fellow Christian in sin?

Do I come before God in prayer in confidence? Do I pray for my fellow Christians?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Dear Father, I believe in the name of the Son of God so I know that I have eternal life. And this is the confidence that I have before You: that whenever I ask anything according to Your will, You hear me. And because I know that You hear me in regard to whatever I ask, I know that I have the requests that I have asked from You. If I see my fellow Christian committing a sin not resulting in death, I ask that You will grant life to the person who commits a sin not resulting in death. There is a sin resulting in death–I do not ask about that. All unrighteousness is sin, but there is sin not resulting in death. I know that everyone fathered by You does not sin, but You protect the ones You have fathered, and the evil one cannot touch us. We know that we are from You, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that Your Son has come and has given us insight to know You, the one who is true, and we are in You and in Your Son Jesus Christ. You are the only true God and our eternal life. Help us to guard ourselves from idols–anything that would take Your place as first and foremost in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Pat & Hannah Kelley
  • Joe & Sheala Lehosit
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael Morgan

  • Genesis World Mission

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for the relationship between generations–parents, children, grandparents

  • That the true Christian faith of older generation would be clearly communicated and passed down to children
  • That saved children in unsaved families would clearly exhibit and communicate the faith to their parents and grandparents
  • A harvest of souls of all ages
  • Good, nurturing relationships

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace – Ephesians 1:7 (HCSB)
