Psalm 93

What does this psalm teach us regarding the sovereignty of God?

Do I praise God for His sovereignty and majesty?

Dear Father, You reign! You are robed in majesty and enveloped in strength. The world is firmly established; it cannot be shaken. Your throne has been established from the beginning; You are from eternity. The floods have lifted up their voice, LORD, the floods lift up their pounding waves. Greater than the roar of many waters–the mighty breakers of the sea–are You, majestic LORD on high! Your testimonies are completely reliable; holiness is the beauty of Your house for all the days to come. Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Michael Morgan
  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luke)

  • Boise Rescue Mission

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for Meridian

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials

But godliness with contentment is a great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these. – 1 Timothy 6:6-8 (HCSB)
