Observation
What stands out to you in Asaph’s prayer for national restoration?
Application
How often do I pray for restoration for myself, for my church, for strained relationships, for my nation?
Prayer
Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, You alone can restore a nation, a city, a church, a family, a marriage, or a person. It is only when You look on us with favor that we will be saved. May Your people call on Your name and may you revive us, oh Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:
- B – BODY (physical health)
- L – Labor (their job or school)
- E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
- S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
- S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)
Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:
- Pat & Hannah Kelley
- Joe & Sheala Lehosit
- Fred & Shirley Leonard
- Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
- Michael Morgan

MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK:
No one undergoing a trial should say, “I am being tempted by God.” For God is not tempted by evil, and He Himself doesn’t tempt anyone. But each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desires. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death. – James 1:13-15 (HCSB)
