Psalm 119:81-96

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

What does the psalmist do in spite of spiritual fatigue? What does he affirm (89-90)?

Am I committed to putting my hope the word of God, even when I am weary and persecuted? Do I truly believe that God’s word is fixed forever, and that He is always faithful?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, I long for Your salvation; I put my hope in Your word. Sometimes I grow weary looking for Your promises to be fulfilled, and it seems like an eternity as I wait for You to bless the righteous and punish the wicked. In those times, help me not to forget that Your Word is true forever and that you are faithful throughout all time and eternity! Give me life in accordance with Your faithful love, and strengthen me to obey the decrees You have spoken. Help me never to forget Your precepts, for you have given me life through them. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Mike Daniels
  • Theresa Daniels
  • Brandon & Lindsey Dockins
  • Patti Doty

  • Tim & Miranda Penn (Samid, Sarah), missionaries to Albania

Operation Christmas Child:

  • Pray for God to direct each shoe box gift into the hands of just the right child so that each one will experience His unconditional love and provision.

  • That Christian Life Fellowship would be a church that is devoted to the Word of God, and that we would be doers of it and not just hearers; that we would study the Word and so always be prepared to give everyone an answer–in season and out of season–and be approved workers who do not need to be ashamed, able to accurately understand and explain it.

To Him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by His blood, and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father–to Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. – Revelation 1:5b-6 (HCSB)
