What benefit of studying God’s Word is given in verses 97-100? In verse 105?

Do I have wisdom, insight, and understanding? Am I willing to study and meditate on God’s Word to get them? Do I turn to God’s Word to give me light for my daily life and decisions?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Father God, How I love Your teaching! May it be my meditation all day long. Your word makes me wise; may I study it so that it is always with me, giving me insight and discernment. May I obey Your precepts so that I will have understanding. May I follow Your word to keep my feet from every evil path, for it is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path. Thank You, Father, for the awesome and wonderful gift of Your Word! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Ken & Twilla Eden (Mattea, Joseph, Joshua, Sophia, Jonathan)
  • Gil & Lois Estes
  • Gary Friend
  • Scott & Kristi Guinn (Josiah)

  • J & G Simon, missionaries to Austria

Operation Christmas Child:

  • Pray that God will use Operation Christmas Child to bring joy to boys and girls who are facing poverty, sickness, or war.

  • Ask that we would be a church that is devoted to true fellowship: Pray that we would be encouraged from being united with Christ, comforted by His love, bonded with His Spirit, tender and compassionate with one another. Pray that we would be like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Ask that we would do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider one another better than ourselves, looking not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of each other. Pray that we would all have the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus.

Community: Pray for business professionals providing goods and services

  • God to be glorified by excellent work
  • Ministry to occur in the workplace
  • Godly employers and employees
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • Sound financial strategies
  • Strong, God-honoring relationships

To Him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by His blood, and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father–to Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. – Revelation 1:5b-6 (HCSB)
