Observation

What does Paul instruct Timothy in regard to legalism and false doctrine?

Application

Do I study God’s word so that I can oppose and refute legalism and false doctrine?

Prayer

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:

Dear Father in Heaven, I thank You for Jesus Christ who came to save sinners like me, and that Your grace overflows, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. May I hold fast to the true doctrine of Your Word, that I might not be deceived by, engage in, or teach different doctrine or pay attention to myths and endless genealogies that promote empty speculations rather than Your plan, which operates by faith. May I may strongly engage in battle, having faith and a good conscience. Now to You, Almighty King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
