Zechariah 4

What does God promise Zerubbabel (6)?

When everything seems to be against me and there seems no way God’s promises can be true, do I really believe that the might and power of men and angels are nothing compared to the Holy Spirit within me?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, So I often I strive, even for good things, in my own power. So often it seems I am powerless against opposition to carry out Your will. In both types of situations bring Zechariah 4:6, to my mind: “‘Not by strength or by might, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of Hosts.” In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Theresa Daniels
  • Brandon & Lindsey Dockins
  • Patti Doty
  • Ken & Twilla Eden (Mattea, Joseph, Joshua, Sophia, Jonathan)
  • Gil & Lois Estes

  • Tim & Miranda Penn (Samid, Sarah), missionaries to Albania

  • That Christian Life Fellowship would be a church that is devoted to the Word of God, and that we would be doers of it and not just hearers; that we would study the Word and so always be prepared to give everyone an answer–in season and out of season–and be approved workers who do not need to be ashamed, able to accurately understand and explain it.

Community: Pray for your neighbors…

  • That God would provide opportunities for you to minister to them
  • That unbelievers would receive Christ as Savior and Lord
  • For their marriages / family relationships
  • For their finances / employment
  • Any specific needs of which you’re aware

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. – 1 Corinthians 4:20 (HCSB)
