Zechariah 12

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

What will happen in the last days when the nations come against Israel? What will happen when Israel realizes that Jesus is the Messiah?

Do I have any doubts that God is mighty to save His people? Do I believe He will carry out His purpose and draw His people to Himself?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father in Heaven, I praise You and thank You that though mankind and Satan and his devils will try to destroy Israel and thwart Your plans, You will save them when Christ returns in power and glory. Thank You that the Jews will realize the One they crucified is the One who saved them, and they will mourn that they didn’t recognize Him before. Thank You that You are a God who saves, protects, and forgives! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • David & MaryBeth Hollander (Cole, Marcus)
  • Bob & Peggy Hoover
  • Fred & Gwen Iovine
  • Pat & Hannah Kelley

  • Chrysalis Women’s Transitional Housing

  • Pray that we would be a church that is dedicated to the breaking of bread, both in the sense of being devoted to observing the Lord’s Supper, and in meeting together for meals to fellowship, to deepen bonds, to heal offenses, and to end disputes.

Community: Pray for Caldwell

  • That city leaders would submit to God
  • That people can find and keep gainful employment
  • For sound financial management by city officials
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • For the mayor, city council members, and public works officials

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it. – 1 Corinthians 10:13 (HCSB)
