What does Jesus say regarding going along with the crowd? About false teachers? About the secret to wisdom?

Am I willing to follow Jesus even when it isn’t popular, and may well cause me to be rejected by most people? Do I measure teaching against God’s Word and keep on guard for false teachers? Do I show my wisdom by acting on God’s Word, or my foolishness by not doing so?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, May I always choose Your road, even when it is more difficult and the masses mock me for taking it! May I be on the alert against false teachers and recognize, rebuke, and reject them. And may I not be a foolish person who hears Your instruction and then does nothing; rather, strengthen me to act on Your Word and so be wise. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Theresa Daniels
  • Brandon & Lindsey Dockins
  • Patti Doty
  • Ken & Twilla Eden (Mattea, Joseph, Joshua, Sophia, Jonathan)
  • Gil & Lois Estes

  • Tim & Miranda Penn (Samid, Sarah), missionaries to Albania

  • That Christian Life Fellowship would be a church that is devoted to the Word of God, and that we would be doers of it and not just hearers; that we would study the Word and so always be prepared to give everyone an answer–in season and out of season–and be approved workers who do not need to be ashamed, able to accurately understand and explain it.

Community: Pray for your neighbors…

  • That God would provide opportunities for you to minister to them
  • That unbelievers would receive Christ as Savior and Lord
  • For their marriages / family relationships
  • For their finances / employment
  • Any specific needs of which you’re aware

But be careful that this right of yours in no way becomes a stumbling block to the weak. – 1 Corinthians 8:9 (HCSB)
