Matthew 28

Click here to read today’s passage on Bible Gateway

What did Jesus tell his disciples (and us) to do? What did He promise them?

Do I teach others about Jesus? Do I trust Him to be with me, even in the darkest times?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, Thank You for the resurrection of Jesus! Thank You that the tomb is empty, and that Jesus is risen, just as He said! Thank You that He conquered death, hell, and sin, and that I have life in Him! Help me to share His story and to disciple others, teaching them to obey everything He commanded. And help me to remember that He is always with me, to the end of the age. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Darrell & Fralina Leatham
  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Tris & Chris Miller
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael & Jenn Morgan

  • Genesis World Mission

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for your neighbors…

  • That God would provide opportunities for you to minister to them
  • That unbelievers would receive Christ as Savior and Lord
  • For their marriages / family relationships
  • For their finances / employment
  • Any specific needs of which you’re aware

And the King will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’ – Matthew 25:40 (HCSB)
