1 Samuel 10

What incredible thing did Samuel prophesy would happen (and did happen) to Saul (6)? What did God do for Saul (9)? What word of rebuke did Samuel have for Israel (19)? Who went with Saul (26)?

Have I been transformed into a different person, controlled by the Holy Spirit? In what ways has God changed my heart? How has He changed the hearts of others He has brought into my life?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
My Father and my God, Thank You that by the blood of Jesus Christ You have transformed me into a different person. Help me to walk in the Spirit, allowing Him to control me, instead of walking in my own sinful ways. May I live a lifestyle that shows that You have changed my heart and You are with me. May I never reject You or favor anyone or anything over You. Thank You for the brave people whose hearts You have touched that walk this path with me. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Fred & Shirley Leonard
  • Tris & Chris Miller
  • Mark & Michelle Morgan (Cody, Kyle)
  • Michael & Jenn Morgan

  • Genesis World Mission

  • That we will devote ourselves to prayer, individually, in small groups, and as a church.

Community: Pray for the salvation of the lost

  • Readiness to repent
  • Hearts prepared to hear God’s voice
  • Deep dissatisfaction and unrest with life without Him
  • Godly influences

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God. – 3 John 11 (HCSB)
