WWhat did Jesus teach regarding people claiming He had returned? How will we know when it is really Him? What did He teach about His Word?

Do I fall victim to the claims of false teachers and false prophets? Am I ready for Christ’s return? Do I spend time in the eternal Word of God that will not pass away?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father God, Thank You that Jesus explained to us to be on guard for false claims by false messiahs and false prophets. Thank You that when He does return, there will be no mistaking that it is He–arriving in the clouds with great power and glory. Help me to keep watch and live a life that is ready for His return at any moment. While He tarries, help me to study and learn Your Word to be better equipped for Your work. I ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries:

  • Theresa Daniels
  • Travis & Hali Davidson (Andrew, Maddy)
  • Brandon & Lindsey Dockins
  • Patti Doty
  • Ken & Twilla Eden (Mattea, Joseph, Joshua, Sophia, Jonathan)

  • Tim & Miranda Penn (Samid, Sarah), missionaries to Albania

  • That Christian Life Fellowship would be a church that is devoted to the Word of God, and that we would be doers of it and not just hearers; that we would study the Word and so always be prepared to give everyone an answer–in season and out of season–and be approved workers who do not need to be ashamed, able to accurately understand and explain it.

Community: Pray for Outreach Ministries

  • God’s creative provision
  • For sound financial management and strategies
  • Salvation and spiritual growth for those to whom they minister
  • God’s anointing and leading for projects and programs
  • Volunteers and workers

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. – Romans 1:16 (HCSB)
