What kind of sacrifices please God? How are we to interact with our leaders?

Do I continually praise God? How can I “do good and share what I have” today? Am I obeying and submitting to my spiritual leaders?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father, Through Christ may I continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to You, that is, the fruit of my lips, acknowledging Your name.  May I not neglect to do good and to share what I have, for You are pleased with such sacrifices. Remind me to obey my leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over my soul and will give an account for their work. I want to let them do this with joy and not with complaints, for this would be no advantage for me. I pray for them, that they would have a clear conscience and desire to conduct themselves rightly in every respect.  Now may You, the God of peace who by the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ, equip me with every good thing to do Your will, working in me what is pleasing before You through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Pray to BLESS!

One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Chris & DeAnn Smith (Sasha, Noah, Gavin, Natalie)
  • Ross & Christy Stoltey (Spencer, Garrett, Conner, Katie, Grace)
  • Brandi Taylor
  • Sree Yalamanchili
  • Jason & Danielle Youngblood (Kayla, Kendra)

  • Chapel Mission India

  • That we would be devoted to thanksgiving and praise to our Lord–for what He has done, for what He is doing, for what He will do, and for who He is–in good times and bad.
