Luke 22:1-34

What did the bread and the cup at the Last supper symbolize? What was the dispute among the disciples? How did Jesus respond?

Am I careful to remember the sacrifice Christ made for me? Do I try to be greater than others, or do I make an effort to serve them?

Pray today’s Scripture back to God:
Dear Father in Heaven, May I never, as Judas did, make personal gain more important than following Christ. Help me always to remember that Christ allowed His body to be broken and His blood to be shed for me. Keep me from conceit and disputes over who is greater at what. Instead, show me how to be a true servant of Christ and of my fellow believers. In the name of Christ Jesus I pray, Amen.

Pray to BLESS!
One good way to pray for people is to use the acronym BLESS to pray for God’s blessing on every area of their lives:

  • B – BODY (physical health)
  • L – Labor (their job or school)
  • E – Emotions (emotional health as well as guarding against letting emotions rule)
  • S – Social (relationships with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church, etc)
  • S – Spiritual (remaining true to God and growing in Him)

Spend some time praying for the following people and ministries.

  • Moy & Janeth Ortiz
  • Doug & Pam Patchin
  • Jared & Amanda Patchin (Alex, Luc)
  • Keith Rast
  • Travis & Consuela Sauer (Mikayla, Christian, Donte, Cheyenne, Sera, Ella, Thomas)

  • Boise Rescue Mission

  • That we will be people who are devoted to giving to the Lord’s work and to anyone who has a need.

Community: Pray for the relationship between generations–parents, children, grandparents

  • That the true Christian faith of older generation would be clearly communicated and passed down to children
  • That saved children in unsaved families would clearly exhibit and communicate the faith to their parents and grandparents
  • A harvest of souls of all ages
  • Good, nurturing relationships

God wanted to make known among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. – Colossians 1:27 (HCSB)
